A HINOKI STOOL  crafted by a Miyadaiku who has refined his skills over many years in the Setouchi region.
It's quiet, one-of-a-kind presence highlights the inherent beauty of the wood itself. The smooth, flowing form is carved entirely by hand using chisels and planes.Rather than relying on detailed drawings, the craftsman determines the final shape by carefully reading the condition of the wood—a process possible only through mastery of traditional techniques.

The hinoki used is grown in the majestic mountains of Miyoshi, Tokushima. Slowly matured in an environment with wide temperature variations, the wood develops dense grain, strength, and natural resilience. With continued use, the color and texture deepen, revealing the evolving character of the wood over time—one of the enduring qualities that defines this stool.
